Friends -
Last year, as I dove into the world of data infrastructure in earnest, I was overwhelmed by the treasure trove of resources that existed on the topic.
When I’m at the beginning stages of a learning journey, I’m inclined to be disciplined about collecting and organizing resources that have been helpful to me. It has been a privilege to meet the creators of many of these resources - COVID made it easier to make friends over the internet than ever before! One such creator, James Le, covered the Tecton Apply ( ) Conference earlier this year, and I was impressed by the scope and depth of his article.
James and I decided to collaborate on this post, which is designed as a primer for anyone diving into the data ecosystem. The range of resources (newsletters, communities, podcasts, and more) should provide learning mechanisms suitable for all data-inquisitive minds.
And - inspired by Lea Boreland (another wonderful collaborator), in her post sharing Lea’s Library, James and I have built a living site for data resources in Notion. Feel free to check it out (and contribute) below!! 👇
